Cookie policy
This page explains which cookies and similar technologies the ecocentrotrieste.it website uses, what they are for and how you can choose which ones to accept.
Draft under review. This text is not final yet: highlighted parts are still to be confirmed. The Italian version prevails.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work; others are used for statistics or to show content from other sites, and we only use those if you consent.
Cookies used by this website
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
ec_consent | Ecocentro Trieste | stores your cookie choices | 6 months | technical, always on |
_ga | Google (Google Analytics) | distinguishes visitors pseudonymously for statistics | 2 years | statistics, only with consent |
_ga_<ID> | Google (Google Analytics) | keeps the state of the visit for statistics | 2 years | statistics, only with consent |
Google Analytics is loaded only if you consent to statistics.
External content: Google Maps
The map on the Contact page is provided by Google Maps. It is loaded only if you accept external content or press “Show the map”. In that case Google may set its own cookies, as described in Google's cookie policy.
How we use the statistics
Google Analytics shows us in aggregate form how many people visit the site and which pages they view. We do not use this data for advertising or profiling and we do not combine it with other data. We use Google's Consent Mode: without your consent, Google Analytics is not loaded. Google LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (see the Privacy policy).
How to choose or change your preferences
On your first visit a banner asks which cookies to accept: you can accept all, reject all or choose by category. Closing the banner with × counts as rejecting non-essential cookies. We will ask for your consent again after 6 months or if the cookies we use change.
You can change your mind at any time with the button below or the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings (for example Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge); in that case the banner will be shown again.
