Our story

This is how the two partners came up with the idea of a supply chain to recover, sustainably, a material that until then had been little used. Over the years, thanks to hard work and investment in technology and innovation, the company has built the professional and technical skills needed to reach this goal.

Today Ecocentro Trieste works throughout Friuli Venezia Giulia, especially in the Karst, the province of Trieste and the Bassa Friulana.

Woodland clearing, tidying overgrown land, creating green areas, restoring gardens, disposing of tree waste, excavation and demolition are some of the work we do in the area.

Our plant

The Ecocentro Trieste plant covers about 24,000 m² in the railway area of Prosecco.

  • Office and weighbridge

At the entrance there is an office cabin for paperwork and the reception area, with an electronic weighbridge to weigh material coming in and going out.

  • Storage and processing bays

From here you reach two sunken bays: one stores incoming tree and plant waste, the other is used to process and prepare the compost. The area around these bays is where the raw material is turned into green compost.

  • Covered area for the finished product

Next to them, a covered area stores the finished product until it is sold. Here, depending on its use and destination, the product is packed in handy bags on pallets or in big bags; compost can also be supplied in bulk.

  • Parking and workshop

The plant also has parking for our vehicles and a maintenance workshop.

Schools and events

We believe recycling is best learned young. We teach recycling in schools with qualified staff, and we take part in local fairs and events.
